The food Services Industry is a Labour intensive one which sells service and hospitality and which relies heavily on employees as the most important means of achieving success. The recent upsurge in tourism necessitates the need to re-evaluate the training that is provided to workers in the Hospitality Industry to ensure that standards of health and hygiene are elevated to international standards.

Everyone in the Hospitality industry will no doubt be aware of the shortage of suitable skilled staff at the moment and it appears this shortage can only intensify. With this problem in mind we have established a training centre with the intention of improving the standards and the abilities of people employed in the Hospitality Industry.

CATRA as one of the largest representative associations of the Hospitality Industry has decided to be involved in training. The associations decision to participate in the training scheme is to help alleviate the unemployment problem and at the same time meet the staffing needs of the industry.

Highly trained and skilled personnel will be involved in training.
